ALASKA BROWN BEAR HUNTING

"EXPECT TO FEEL LIKE A KID AGAIN"
Grizzlies and Brown Bears

Although very similar, brown bears are larger and live within 100 miles of the coast where they feed on nutrient-rich fish in the rivers and tributaries. Grizzly bears are smaller, much more aggressive and live more than 100 miles from the coast. They eat whatever they can to survive and are much more dangerous when encountering humans.

Alaska’s brown bear hunt occurs in May on even numbered years and October on odd numbered years.

Brown Bear Hunting Season
Brown Bear Hunting Base

All brown bear hunts are based out of Port Moler on the Alaskan Peninsula. You’ll take a flight from your location to Anchorage and than an Alaska Airlines flight from Anchorage to King Salmon or Cold Bay and then another flight to Port Moler. Our staff will meet you at the airport and help get your gear to our base as we prepare for your hunt.

The weather throughout the Alaskan Peninsula can vary greatly. We do not fly if there is any chance we may be putting anyone at risk.

We take care of all the equipment you and your guide will need. You’ll have excellent tents, cooking gear, food and access to the finest brown bear hunting in the world. Your professional guide will ensure your enjoyment of the topography and help you find and stalk the trophy brown bear you’ve been dreaming of. The guide will help with cooking, safety and the care of your bear’s hide.
