Moose Hunting Season
All moose hunts are based out of Kotzebue, Alaska. You’ll take a flight from your location to Anchorage and than an Alaska Airlines flight from Anchorage to Kotzebue. There are usually three flights per day. Our staff will meet you at the airport and help get your gear to the hotel or to our base tent on the airport tarmac.

The weather around the Kotzebue Sound and into the Brooks Range can vary greatly. We do not fly if there is any chance we may be putting anyone at risk. Make sure you are prepared with information on accommodations in Kotzebue regardless of the weather forecast for your arrival.

Guided Moose Hunts Include
We take care of all the equipment you and your guide will need. You’ll have excellent tents, cooking gear, food and access to the finest moose hunting in the world. Your professional guide will ensure your enjoyment of the topography and help you find and stalk the trophy moose you’ve been dreaming of. The guide will help with cooking, meat care and cape/antler care.

Guided Moose Hunts Do Not Include
Guided hunts do not include your Alaska hunting license or moose hunting tags. Your guide will quarter your meat according to Alaska Department of Fish & Game requirements (meat must be left on the bone) and handle your cape until we pick you up. Your guide will be able to help quite a bit and ensure you follow ADF&G requirements. Once you return to Kotzebue, we can suggest a location where you can further process and package your own meat and ship it to your home. We can also suggest taxidermists or guide you on proper shipment of your cape and antlers back home. Northern Air Trophy is not responsible for your moose meat or your moose cape and antlers. We can only offer verbal assistance so that you can understand the options available and make choices based on your budget. Make sure to allow extra time when you return to Kotzebue so that you can properly handle your moose meat and trophy prior to making your way for home.

Rates
Our rates for each hunter are $15,000 per person.

The moose hunt in Alaska requires a permit application and you may or may not be chosen by lottery to hunt moose. Once chosen to receive a permit to hunt moose, you will also buy an Alaska hunting license and non-residents must buy a $400 moose tag.
